Electro Energy’s Engineers to Present Advanced Battery Technology at the SAE Power Systems Conferenc

Electro Energy Inc, a developer and manufacturer of advanced rechargeable batteries, announced today that engineers from the Company’s operations in Connecticut and Colorado Springs are making presentations on advanced battery technologies at the SAE Power Systems Conference taking place at the Chateau Sonesta Hotel, New Orleans, Louisiana, November 7-9, 2006. The Society of Automotive Engineers has more than 90,000 members — engineers, business executives, educators, and students from more than 97 countries — who share information and exchange ideas for advancing the engineering of mobility systems.

The Company’s Senior Scientist David Pickett will also be honored at an Awards Luncheon for his oral presentation “Light Weight Design Nickel-Alkaline Cells Using Fiber Electrodes” delivered at the 2004 Power Systems Conference that was held in Reno, Nevada.

Electro Energy and Mobile Energy Products presentations include the following subjects:

— “Super NiCd Applications and Mission History,” presented by Jeffrey W.
Hayden
— “NiCd Battery Performance for Aircraft Applications,” presented by
David Lucero.
— “High Temperature Battery for Space Applications,” presented by Za
Johnson.
— “Advanced Bipolar Lithium Ion Battery,” presented by Za Johnson.
— “High Specific Energy Battery for the Tactical Warfighter,” presented
by Za Johnson.
— “The Bipolar Ni-MH Battery for Advanced Transportation and High
Voltage Power and Energy Storage Systems,” presented by John Dailey.
— “The Bipolar Nickel Metal Hydride High Energy Army Silent Watch
Battery,” presented by James Landi.

Michael E. Reed, President and CEO, said, “We are extremely proud of the technical accomplishments of our talented engineers, who have helped make Electro Energy the innovative company that it is today.
Even as we move into the commercialization phase of our business development, we remain committed to research and innovation. We expect the technology being presented at the SAE Power Systems Conference to lead to significant supply contracts to the military in the months ahead. The same technology has attractive commercial potential.”

Electro Energy Inc., headquartered in Danbury, Connecticut, was founded in 1992 to develop, manufacture and commercialize high-powered, rechargeable bipolar nickel-metal hydride batteries for use in a wide range of applications. Its Colorado Springs operation supplies aerospace-grade high quality nickel cadmium batteries and components for satellites, aircraft and other specialty applications.
EEEI is also developing high power lithium rechargeable batteries utilizing the Company’s proprietary bi-polar design. EEEI has recently acquired significant manufacturing assets near Gainesville, Fla., to accelerate commercialization of its battery technology.
