by Rob White

BNSF Railway Company was recognized by American Honda Motors for outstanding teamwork in Honda's Western Region at Honda's Annual Supplier Conference in San Diego, Calif. BNSF received this award for its ability to provide superior quality transportation and damage-free delivery in conjunction with Pacific Motor Trucking, Selland Auto Transport, and Inter-Rail Transport in Richmond, Calif.

"BNSF places a high priority on ensuring every vehicle reaches its destination damage-free," says Marc Allen, assistant vice president, BNSF Automotive Marketing. "We are honored to be recognized by Honda, a company which is committed to quality. Every employee in our organization is committed to ensuring we continue to meet Honda's high standards for service excellence by delivering every vehicle on-time and damage-free."

A subsidiary of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation (NYSE: BNI), BNSF Railway operates one of the largest railroad networks in North America, with about 32,000 route miles in 28 states and two Canadian provinces. The railway is among the world's top transporters of intermodal traffic, moves more grain than any other American railroad, transports the components of many of the products we depend on daily, and hauls enough low-sulphur coal to generate about ten percent of the electricity produced in the United States.
