EVCARCO and NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) Present the AEV Program

The Federal Government Electric Vehicle Program Is Launched at Kennedy Learning Center, With Key Focus on President Clinton's E.O. 12844

by Ron Charles

EVCARCO recently initiated a series of programs with NASA aimed at the introduction of electric and alternative fuel vehicles into Federal Government fleet programs.

As part of the program, EVCARCO executives, such as CEO, Dale Long, presented the overall vision of EVCARCO, as well as the developed electric vehicles aimed at Federal Government applications.

NASA is acting on the Executive Order 12844 issued by the former President of the United States, President William Clinton. President Clinton and Vice President Al Gore have been leaders and advocates in developing programs outlined in the EO.

E.O. 12844: Alternative Fuel vehicles: President Clinton

Federal action can provide a significant market impact for the development and manufacturing of Alternative Fueled Vehicles, and for the expansion of the fueling infrastructure necessary to support large numbers of privately owned alternative fueled vehicles. The Federal Government can exercise leadership in the use of Alternative Fueled Vehicles. To that end, each agency shall adopt aggressive plans to substantially exceed the alternative fueled vehicle purchase requirements established by the Energy Policy Act of 1992.

EVCARCO presented to the Federal Government a full line of Government Service ready units including the:

TAZZARI, ITALIAN BUILT ALL ELECTRIC LITHIUM ION ROADSTER

WHEEGO: ALL ELECTRIC COUPE, BUILT IN THE U.S.

FOTON: UTV, HIGH OUTPUT MIL SPEC ALL ELECTRIC, ALL TERRAIN VEHICLE

Dale Long, stated, "We feel that by working with Federal Agencies such as NASA we can not only enhance our products for Government applications but we also gain significant applied science relationships. We look forward to a long relationship with NASA, and trust we can provide them with the latest in electric vehicle technology.

EVCARCO has recently launched a Government/Federal Fleet Division aimed at developing electric vehicles to meet the demand for Federal Agencies. Scott O'Neal, COO, stated, "Our competitive advantage is that EVCARCO has the ability to supply the most advanced manufactured electric vehicles available to the marketplace today. Our vision has always been to help bridge the gap between advanced electric vehicle technologies from emerging manufactures to the American consumer. Launching this Government/Federal Fleet Division with NASA gives insight to our commitments."

EVCARCO recently announced the development of Military Grade Electric Tactical Units, as well as search and seizure models for Homeland security, as well as base surveillance models. The move, according to EVCARCO, was introduced to meet specific requirements for Federal Government applications.

Edouard Prous, Chief Technical Officer of EVCARCO, stated, "Our goal is to bring to the Federal Government the latest in alternative energy vehicles. We have developed and sourced technology that will assist the Government in meeting its Alternative Energy Vehicle requirements."
