dPollution (RMGX) Announces Vehicle Test Results Showing Significant Reductions in Tailpipe Emission
The Evaluation of the Company's dPollution Device was Conducted by an EPA-Approved Research Facility Using Standardized Highway Emission-Testing Protocols
dPollution International announced the exciting results of an emissions test by an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-approved research facility on its patented dPollution Device.
The tests were conducted October 11, 2010 by Maryland-based Environmental Research & Development Corp. on a 2008 Chevrolet Equinox with 68,147 kilometres on the odometer.
The research methodology followed the protocol for the EPA's Urban Dynamometer Driving Schedule (UDDS), which is commonly called the "LA4" as it represents city driving conditions. The EPA's emission testing protocols are carefully controlled methods that include the use of standardized fuels, laboratories, testing equipment, test cycles and calculations. The UDDS is 1,369 seconds in length and covers 7.45 miles at an average speed of 19.59 mph. The emissions are captured and analyzed according to the standard US EPA protocol.
Significantly, the test data revealed impressive reductions in tailpipe emissions as follows:

-- Total Hydrocarbon (THC) emissions were reduced by 41.35%
-- Nitrogen Oxide (NOX) emissions were reduced by 200.20%
-- Carbon Monoxide (CO) emissions were reduced by 75.99%
-- Carbon Dioxide (CO2) emissions were reduced by 2.14%
-- Miles Per Gallon were increased by 4.74%

-- Total Hydrocarbon (THC) emissions were reduced by 64.68%
-- Nitrogen Oxide (NOX) emissions were reduced by 39.27%
-- Carbon Monoxide (CO) emissions were reduced by 66.46%
-- Carbon Dioxide (CO2) emissions were reduced by 4.15%
-- Miles Per Gallon were increased by 5.28 %
"We're extremely pleased by these results, but not surprised in the least," said dPollution President and Chief Executive Officer Rocco Di Fruscia. "This test by a third-party, EPA-accredited research organization demonstrated conclusively that the dPollution Device dramatically reduces vehicle emissions. The test results are important news for everyone concerned about vehicle emissions. But Mr. Di Fruscia noted that they are particularly relevant to diesel fleet managers as the trucking industry is searching for affordable ways to reduce emissions in advance of expected tough new federal emissions standards.
