Li-ion Motors Rolls Out Highly-Anticipated, All-Electric Supercar at SEMA 2010 in Las Vegas
Li-ion Motors, winner of the Progressive Automotive X Prize and the industry leader in all-electric, high-speed vehicles, is pleased to announce the unveiling of the
INIZIO: the world's first all American-made, fully-electric, emission-free "supercar."
Unlike other supercars which are manufactured overseas, the INIZIO is the first all-American made supercar, designed, engineered and assembled at Li-ion's manufacturing facility in Mooresville, North Carolina. Engineered with Li-ion Motors' lithium-ion battery technology and management system, the INIZIO is a full-sized super car that has a range of up to 250 miles (321km) to satisfy every day driving needs, and a top-speed of 170 mph (272 km/hour) to thrill the avid sports car enthusiast.
"We are so excited to unveil the INIZIO," said Stacey Fling, President & CEO of Li-ion Motors. "This car is the culmination of many years of research and development. The positive reaction and praise we've received from our industry colleagues and the press has been overwhelming and a validation of the work we've been doing to get to this point." Fling adds, "We're looking forward to the next step of introducing the INIZIO to consumers at the upcoming LA Auto Show in Los Angeles, November 18th through 29th, and to finally getting this sexy car on the road where it belongs." Innovative, inspiring, and intelligent, INIZIO is slated for launch mid-2011 and will be priced starting at US$139,000. For more information, visit www.Li-ionMotors.com.
