MagneGas Makes Breakthrough: Hydrogen Production From a Renewable Source
MagneGas Corporation, the producer of a technology that converts liquid waste into a hydrogen-based metal working fuel and natural gas alternative, announced today that it has successfully separated commercial-grade hydrogen from its MagneGas(TM) fuel, using common wastewater as the process feedstock. This represents a potentially significant milestone on the road to a true Hydrogen Economy: efficient, cost-effective hydrogen production from a 100% renewable source.
Stated MagneGas CEO and Chief Scientist Dr. Ruggero Santilli, "While itself a clean fuel, hydrogen is primarily produced from fossil fuels in a high-emission process. Little headway has been made to date in producing hydrogen from renewable sources in an economically viable manner. The MagneGas process is a natural extension of our existing fuel production: it leverages our proven technology and a readily-available feedstock to create hydrogen of competitive quality, and likely at reduced cost -- while also helping to clean the environment of harmful liquid waste. We expect to be a commercial supplier of hydrogen within 2011."
MagneGas was recently visited by Arno A. Evers, founder of one the largest and most international trade shows for hydrogen and fuel cells technologies and their future global markets. As he enthusiastically reported to his readers at www.hydrogenambassadors.com
"The question of how to achieve a Hydrogen Society has not yet been answered -- perhaps until now. MagneGas has successfully separated hydrogen from their MagneGas(TM) fuel. This marks a totally new and a genuinely renewable way to extract hydrogen using wastewater as a feedstock. When implementing this unique waste-to-energy power generation into a decentralized, new energy infrastructure, much can be gained: we will protect our natural resources and create a cleaner environment at the same time."
About MagneGas Corporation (www.magnegas.com)
Founded in 2007, Tampa-based MagneGas Corporation (OTCBB: MNGA) is the producer of MagneGas(TM), a natural gas alternative and metal working fuel that can be made from industrial, municipal, agricultural and military liquid wastes following the receipt of appropriate governmental permits.
The Company's patented Plasma Arc Flow(TM) process gasifies liquid waste, creating a clean burning fuel that is essentially interchangeable with natural gas, but with lower green house gas emissions. MagneGas(TM) can be used for metal working, cooking, heating, powering bi fuel automobiles and more.
