Advanced diagnostic systems and new improvements in ODX standardization

by Tony Davidson

The growing complexity of automotive electronic systems makes fault finding increasingly difficult. Diagnostic functions in development, production and after sales are now more important than ever.

Berlin, 25.02.2011: At IQPC’s Advanced Automotive Diagnostic Systems Conference from 27 - 29 June, 2011, in Wiesbaden, Germany, experts from across the field of automotive diagnostics will come together to discuss the challenges facing the industry and present best practices.

An important focus of the conference will be current and future legal requirements for on board diagnostics (OBD). Further key issues to be discussed will be:

• Open Diagnostic Data Exchange (ODX): The limits and potentials of standardization processes
• Diagnosis tools and equipment and assessing efficiency and reliability
• Examining lifecycle concepts (developments, production, service) for an efficient diagnosis process
• The development of diagnosis tools and the role of flash memories
• Model-based diagnosis

Delegates can also take part in interactive workshops on fault detection and fault diagnosis for technical systems, automotive flashing, standardization issues (ODX & co.), and OBD tools and processes.
