AAPC Statement in Support of Granting Russia Permanent Normal Trade Relations

by Esther Francis

The American Automotive Policy Council (AAPC) – representing its member companies Chrysler Group LLC, Ford Motor Company and General Motors Company – supports the passage of legislation granting Russia permanent normal trade relations (PNTR).

“Russia, the ninth-largest economy, is a rapidly-expanding auto market,” Matt Blunt, AAPC President said. “By granting Russia PNTR, we will be allowing U.S. automakers to enjoy the benefits of Russia's accession to the WTO and to expand on the already major contributions they make to U.S. economic growth and job creation.”

The American Automotive Policy Council, Inc. (AAPC) is a Washington, D.C.- based non-profit trade association that represents the common public policy interests of its member companies: Chrysler Group LLC, Ford Motor Company and General Motors Company
