Tweddle Group Technologies (TGT), the Seattle-based connected services division of Tweddle Group, announces that its Tweddle Connect(TM) telematics solution has been selected as a finalist in the 2013 Automotive News PACE Awards. Tweddle Connect is among 33 other automotive suppliers selected for innovative products, manufacturing processes and information technology.
The Tweddle Connect telematics solution, launched in August 2011, is a connected services platform that enables infotainment and vehicle services using the driver’s mobile phone or an embedded cellular modem. The technology’s modular approach supports all known connection strategies. The cloud- and client-based solution brings drivers a full connected services experience including searching local points of interest, listening to streaming radio, making restaurant reservations and more from their vehicle. These technologies enhance the driving experience while contributing to passenger safety and reducing total cost of ownership for automotive OEMs and service providers.

Tweddle Connect will be evaluated in the Information Technology category by industry, academic and business leaders to determine which finalist provides the most concrete evidence of true innovation with compelling benefits and significant competitive advantages.
