Dana Receives Four Supplier Quality Excellence Awards from General Motors

Dana Holding Corporation (NYSE: DAN) has been honored by General Motors (NYSE: GM) with four Supplier Quality Excellence Awards for outstanding performance. This is the inaugural year for the awards program.

GM’s new award honors Dana as a high-performing supplier, having met a rigorous set of quality performance criteria during the past year. Dana Power Technologies Group facilities in Avilla, Ind.; Chatham, Ontario, Canada; Neu-Ulm, Bavaria, Germany; and St. Clair, Mich., were recognized.

“This achievement demonstrates Dana’s commitment and ability to deliver quality-driven products that meet not only stringent industry standards but also our customers’ distinct needs,” said Dwayne Matthews, president of the Dana Power Technologies Group. “Our dedicated, global team is focused on helping customers such as General Motors achieve their goals for delivering quality vehicles to the market.”

The Supplier Quality Excellence Award is GM’s first award that identifies suppliers that have played a major role in achieving the company’s goal of improving product quality and the overall customer experience. Dana was recognized for its shared commitment in providing products high in quality and reliability for the period from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012.

Dana has supplied advanced technologies for GM vehicles for well over a century, beginning with universal joints for Buick in 1905.
