Millbrook and Colmis join forces to provide world leading vehicle test and development facilities

Millbrook Proving Ground, one of Europe’s leading locations for the development and demonstration of every type of land vehicle, has entered into an agreement with Sweden based proving ground, Colmis, to offer extended capabilities in cold climate testing and development.

With Millbrook’s 700 acres of land and 70km of test tracks; including on-road and off-road tracks and technical facilities and Colmis’ 3,500 acres of lake and land tracks; including polished ice, scraped ice/snow and packed ice, the two companies will work together to provide a wide variety of test and development services to the global automotive industry, and other sectors including energy.

The launch of this new partnership will be showcased at the Automotive Testing Expo Europe 2013, which takes place in Stuttgart from 4 to 6 June, where a joint exhibition will demonstrate the full portfolio of technology services the two proving grounds can offer.

“Having worked with Millbrook on a number of projects in the past, we felt their unrivalled experience and expertise would be an invaluable addition to the Colmis offer,” says Harald Fjellström, managing director of Colmis. “The cooperation with Millbrook is a positive step forward for us and will be of great benefit to our clients.”

Miguel Fragoso, managing director of Millbrook said: “Colmis is a world centre of excellence for extreme cold climatic conditions and we are proud to have reached this agreement with them. Together we are now able to offer one of the most comprehensive test and development packages in the automotive engineering industry.”
