Continental Receives 2013 Quality Awards from General Motors

General Motors recognized Continental Automotive for demonstrating some of the highest levels of quality performance over the past 12 months at 14 of its manufacturing facilities worldwide.

The 14 Continental locations that were recognized include:

— Alor Setar, Malaysia
— Babenhausen, Germany
— Boussens, France
— Calamba, Philippines
— Fletcher/Henderson, North Carolina
— Hamakita, Japan
— Icheon, Korea
— Jeonju, Korea
— Mechelen, Belgium
— Port Elizabeth, South Africa
— Puchov, Slovakia
— San Luis Potosi, Mexico
— Silao, Mexico
— Vac, Hungary

This is the second year GM is honoring suppliers who are making noteworthy contributions to GM’s goal of providing the best overall customer experience in the automotive industry. Continental has received a total of 20 Worldwide Quality Awards from GM since 2012.

“Continental helped play a critical role in GM’s success in 2013 through their dedication and commitment to consistently exceed our expectations by being innovative, delivering high quality products and services on time and by creating outstanding value,” said Grace Lieblein, GM vice president, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain.

GM’s Supplier Quality Excellence Award is focused on improving collaboration with suppliers. Winning suppliers met more than 12 quality criteria during the 12 months ending June 30.
