Evana Automation Ships Custom Assembly and Test System to Tier 1 Automotive Supplier

Evana system will efficiently assemble and test ABS brake control modules

Evana Automation Specialists, a leading Systems Integrator and builder of custom, automated assembly and test systems, recently shipped a custom assembly and test system to a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier that will assemble and test ABS brake control modules.

The system will press circuit boards, apply conformal coating to components, visually verify coating application, apply UV cure coating, feed and laser weld lids, perform leak and functional tests, as well as print and apply labels to the brake modules. Modules will receive complete serialization and traceability throughout the entire assembly process. Press data and test values will be captured and tied to the part serial number. Stations will be designed with quick change tooling to simplify processing of addition or different products in the future.

“This is the fourth brake system that Evana has supplied to this facility,” said Randy Wire, general manager of Evana Automation Specialists. “Based on the popularity of the automobile, our customer has been rewarded with increased work and turned to us for assistance to meet their production goals.”
