HEXPOL Compounding Expands and Strengthens its Core Business with the Acquisition of Kardoes Rubber

HEXPOL Compounding, a leading global provider of elastomer compounds, recently acquired Kardoes Rubber, an established rubber compounder known in the U.S. for consistent product offerings at competitive prices.

The acquisition of Kardoes Rubber broadens HEXPOL Compounding’s presence in end user markets such as sporting goods, HVAC, electrical, automotive, off road tires, material handling, and agriculture.

Kardoes Rubber is recognized nationally for simplifying the complexities of compounding for its customers. Kardoes has a reputation for:

    —  Economic and consistent compounding

    —  Quick turnaround and dependable deliveries

    —  Ensuring customer satisfaction

“Frank Kardoes founded Kardoes Rubber in 1988 and grew the company with a powerful yet simple philosophy,” explained Tracy Garrison, President & Chief Executive Officer for HEXPOL Compounding North America. “Mr. Kardoes built his company by simplifying the compounding process for his customers and ensuring that he exceeded their expectations.”

That philosophy, according to Garrison, complements HEXPOL’s already superior customer service, and expands HEXPOL capabilities to serve customers more efficiently.

The Kardoes Rubber manufacturing facility is in LaFayette, Alabama. The facility has continually expanded, employs nearly 100 people, and features three mixing lines and a 76″ 4-roll calender. Like all other HEXPOL locations, the facility is ISO-9001 certified.
