Industry-Leading Dow Corning Engineer to Detail Radical New Fast-Cure Silicone Adhesive Technology at SAE Congress 2015

Kate Johnson, electronics technical specialist for Dow Corning, a global leader in silicones, silicon-based material and innovation, will deliver a presentation at the SAE World Congress & Exhibition 2015 at which the company will introduce a ground-breaking, new, radical-cure silicone adhesive technology that targets broader design flexibility, greater manufacturing efficiencies and higher performance for the global auto industry. Her presentation, titled Expand Your Toolkit: New Silicone Adhesive Destroys the Boundaries of the Current Design Box, is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m., on April 22 in Room 310 B of Detroit’s Cobo Center, during the conference’s technical session on Automotive Polymeric, Plastic Components and Composites.

Johnson has served as president to the mid-Michigan section of Society of Women’s Engineers from 2011 to 2014. She joined Dow Corning in 2012 as an Electronics Technical Specialist to help develop both applications and markets for innovation silicone solutions targeting automotive electronics, and help launch new technology platforms worldwide. Prior to joining the company, she held positions in research, development, and engineering at Dow Chemical and the Ford Motor Company.

In addition to Johnson’s presentation at the conference, Dow Corning will also showcase its broad and growing portfolio of advanced silicone solutions for automotive application at booth #507 on the exhibit floor.
