Phil Threadgould :
U.S. Automakers Gain in Customer Satisfaction

Phil Threadgould :
The following article notes a U of M study on increases in customer satisfaction in the U.S. for U.S. domestic automakers. I believe this shift will be gradual but inevitable due to the fact that many more Japanese and Korean cars are being made in the U.S. I don´t believe unionized labor affects it much either way.

Domestic automakers gained ground on their foreign competitors in customer satisfaction, but a considerable gap remains, according to an annual survey of U.S. vehicle owners. For the second consecutive year, Toyota Motor Corp.´s Toyota brand led the University of Michigan´s American Customer Satisfaction Index with a record score of 87 on a scale of 100.
