AIM Expands Technical Support Department
Provides opportunity for company to take technical support to the field
Robin McCall :
To better support its customer’s technical service requirements, AIM announced today the expansion of its technical support department that includes the appointment of Melody Smith as a technical support assistant. This appointment enables AIM’s technical support manager, Chad Janes, to spend more time supporting customers in the field.
“Chad Janes has been an integral part of our technical support department for more than 10 years,” said Steven Seabourne, AIM president. “With the addition of Melody to our staff, we can now bring Chad directly to our customers in the field for counterman and jobber store level training. With his extensive technical knowledge of alternators and starters, he is able to quickly answer customer questions and support their needs.”
Janes has been with AIM for 11 years, including six years in his current post with additional experience as an inside sales representative and as a technical support assistant. Janes earned his electrical certification from APRA, and serves as AIM’s internal auditor for the company’s ISO 9001:9002 certifications.
Smith’s primary responsibility at AIM is for in-house technical support, while also providing analysis work for NAPA products. She comes to AIM after working for a small franchised car repair facility providing mechanical service. She was recently nominated for the CAWA (California/Nevada Automotive Wholesales Association) scholarship. In addition, Smith conducts monthly car care clinics at her church.
