Faurecia Exhaust Systems is in a strong position to lead the way in North America's growing diesel market as the automotive industry braces itself for a green revolution.
As a recognized full system supplier and pioneer in the development of the diesel particulate filter (DPF), Faurecia is able to offer solutions that match customer expectations and contribute to a cleaner environment. Faurecia’s expertise allows it to optimize the packaging of the DPF while enabling easy dismantling. Today the group produces two million diesel particulate filters annually in Europe, Asia and North America.
Another Faurecia innovation that saves energy and improves fuel economy is the Exhaust Heat Recovery System. This solution uses the thermal energy of the exhaust system to speed up the heating of the engine to improve fuel economy in cold climates. It can also heat the vehicle’s cabin more efficiently.
With a regional headquarters in Toledo, Ohio, Faurecia Exhaust Systems designs and produces exhaust systems and components for Chrysler, Ford, General Motors and Hyundai. In 2006, Faurecia began production of diesel particulate filters for the Dodge Nitro, followed by the Jeep Liberty.
