MOV'EO is the French leading automotive cluster dedicated to “private cars and public transport, safe for man and his environment.” MOV'EO is supported by the government and the local authorities. The cluster carries the strategic and technological vision of the big players in the automobile world, bringing together the challenges of Energy & Environment, Road Safety, Mobility & Services and Mechatronics (four fields of activities). MOV'EO is based in Normandy and Paris Regions around strategic test and research sites within which 70% of the French automotive R&D is carried out.
The strategy of MOV’EO is organized around two main goals: to generate R&D collaborative projects and to develop R&D activities on its area in order to encourage competitiveness among its members. The cluster is orchestrated around involving experts whose main missions include encouraging, devising, and conducting cooperative R&D projects aimed at generating a positive impact in terms of value, activity and job creation, defining strategic orientations within their field of competence, and ensuring their dissemination.
The purpose of the cluster’s field of activity “Energy & Environment” is to develop innovative solutions in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by limiting pollutant emissions and by reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
MOV’EO brings together the major French leading talents in research and development on diesel engines and powertrains for automobile application. To respond to the low CO2 and emissions reduction challenge, MOV’EO initiates collaborative R&D projects focused on combustion engines and electrification involving public laboratories, institutes and industrial research open to international cooperation.
