Faurecia Exhaust Systems is a recognized global supplier of diesel after-treatment systems. As a pioneer in the development of the diesel particulate filter (DPF), and selective catalytic reduction (SCR), Faurecia is able to offer solutions that match customer expectations and contribute to a cleaner environment. Faurecia will be exhibiting at the SAE Commercial Vehicle Engineering Congress and Exhibition in Rosemont, Ill., on Oct. 6 and 7, 2009, as part of the Truck Tech France Pavilion, booth 607.
Another of the company's innovations that saves energy and improves fuel economy is the exhaust heat recovery system (EHRS). This solution uses the thermal energy of the exhaust system to speed up heating of the engine to improve fuel economy in cold climates. It can also heat the vehicle’s cabin more efficiently.
Faurecia can also optimize the packaging and system integration of the after-treatment systems while enabling easy dismantling. Faurecia’s expertise in after-treatment technology is based on more than 30 years of experience. Faurecia Exhaust Systems has a complete technical center for the design, development, testing, and prototyping of complete exhaust systems in Toledo, Ohio, as well as additional technical centers and production facilities around the globe.
