ATF, Inc. Announces New Executive Organization

Lincolnwood, Illinois (September 1, 2009) Don Surber, Chairman and CEO of ATF, Inc. recently unveiled the new management organization which includes Jason R. Surber, President; Steve Beach, Vice President, Sales & Marketing; Peter Dyer, Vice President of Operations; Laurence S. Claus, Vice President of Technology and Engineering; John J. Glazier, Chief Financial Officer; and Porter McLean, President of Zephyr Fasteners.

Jason R. Surber is the newly appointed President of ATF, Inc., the position previously held by Porter McLean who has just been appointed President of Zephyr Fasteners, a joint venture between Lakshmi Precision Screws (“LPS”) and ATF. Prior to Surber’s appointment, he was Vice President, Sales & Marketing. He joined ATF in August 2001 and has held several sales management and business development positions. Surber serves on ATF’s Board of Advisors and is Chairman of the Board of EJOT-ATF Fasteners de Mexico. Prior to joining ATF, Surber was a corporate attorney concentrating in mergers, acquisitions and commercial litigation. He earned an MBA from Northwestern University, Kellogg Graduate School of Management; a J.D. from The John Marshall Law School; and a B.A. in History with High Honors from DePauw University.

New to ATF, Inc. is Steve Beach who now holds the position of Vice President, Sales & Marketing. Beach’s experience includes 25+ years in fastener sales. His career includes sales and marketing positions for Camcar/Textron Fastening Systems and most recently was North American Vice President, Sales & Marketing for Acument Global Technologies. Beach holds a B.G.S. degree from the University of Iowa and is a former Chairman of the Industrial Fastener Institute. Don Surber commented, “We are excited for Steve to bring his successful management skills and energy to ATF. He has built an impressive record of long-term, top-line growth in the fastener industry.”

Peter Dyer has been promoted to Vice President of Operations from his previous position as Director of Operations, which he held since 1999. Since joining the company in September 1985, Dyer’s positions with ATF have included Inside Sales, Production Control, and Plant Manager. Peter holds a B.S. in Industrial Technology from Western Illinois University and completed the Lean Supplier Development College at the Delphi Corporation.

Laurence S. Claus continues to serve as Vice President of Technology and Engineering, a position he has held since 2006. Since joining ATF in June 1988, Claus has held several positions including Application Engineer, Engineering Manager, Director of Quality, Director of New Business Development, and General Manager of ATF Integrated Components. Claus earned a B.S.M.E. from the University of Illinois-Urbana/Champaign and has completed business courses from both Stanford and Caltech.

John J. Glazier continues to serve as Chief Financial Officer, a position he has held since joining the company in May 2006. Glazier is responsible for accounting, finance and information technology. He has 25+ years of experience in accounting, finance and operations in the manufacturing environment. Glazier is a member of the Advisory Board for EJOT-ATF Fasteners de Mexico and is a member of both ATF’s Compensation and Administrative Committees. Glazier holds an M.B.A., with a concentration in finance, from DePaul University and a B.A. in Accounting from Loyola University of Chicago.
