Highlights
In the Winter of 2005, surveys were mailed to a sample
of 1000 Automotive Industries readers. The purpose of this survey
was to gather information on readership of the magazine, learn how Automotive
Industries compares to other industry publications, as well as demographic
information such as purchasing involvement and job description.
§A majority of respondents
receive Automotive Industries; more than any of the other publications
listed.
§Respondents typically read
or looked through all three of the last four issues of each publication
they receive, and spend an average of approximately one hour reading a
typical issue.
§When it comes to ranking
the four publications based on specific statements regarding content and
reader needs, Automotive Industries ranked in the top two in each category.
§More than two-fifths of all
respondents would prefer Automotive Industries to the other three publications
if they could only receive one publication.
§Respondents are involved
in the purchasing decisions for a variety of automotive components and/or
systems.
§Respondents have been employed
in the automotive industry for an average of approximately 24 years. They
are most likely to describe their job responsibility as engineering and
design, and to work for a vehicle producer.
