The project will be promoted by Panasonic EV Energy Co., a joint venture between Toyota and Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. in Kosai, Shizuoka Prefecture, in line with the biggest Japanese automaker’s program to develop a smaller, more powerful hybrid vehicle.
