Henkel introduces PURmelt(®) QR 4511(TM) reactive hotmelt adhesive for headlamp bonding applications. This unique adhesive can withstand and operate at higher exposure temperatures than traditional sealants and adhesives. PURmelt(®) QR 4511(TM) minimizes bond failure and results in more durable assemblies. The improved bond strength provides superior leak protection and improves assembly process efficiency.
PURmelt(®) QR 4511(TM) adhesive is available in gray or black color, and can bond a wide range of substrates, therefore meeting a variety of automotive specifications.
“Headlamps are exposed to harsh exterior environments, and their electronic and plastic components must withstand high operating temperatures with use,” said Chuck Evans, senior vice president and general manager, NA Automotive, Henkel. “In response, our technical team has developed PURmelt(® )QR 4511(TM) to provide superior bonding, sealing strength, and heat resistance for headlamps pre and post assembly.”
