Brits and Texans Celebrate Strong Automotive Tech Ties at F1

The British Consulate General Houston and UK Trade & Investment will host a GREAT British Garden Party in Austin on Saturday, 1 November at the downtown Whole Foods rooftop terrace. The event will mark the occasion of the F1 Austin Grand Prix and celebrate the UK’s world-leading automotive R&D. Governor Rick Perry is expected to be in attendance and remark upon the strong partnership between Texas and the UK. 

Governor Rick Perry:

“Texas is once again wildly enthusiastic to be hosting the U.S. Grand Prix, which draws racing fans from around the world and provides a perfect opportunity for Texans to visit with our good friends from the UK,” Gov. Perry said. “Texas and the UK have much in common, culturally and economically, particularly within the energy, high-tech and biotech science sectors, and that helps make our partnership such a natural fit. I encourage any UK business seeking expansion in the United States to find out what makes Texas the best place in the US to live, work, play and grow a business.”
