Tweddle Group Technologies Builds Infotainment and Cloud Services Development Team for Toyota Entune

Executives, TGT Surpasses 300-percent Employee Growth and Looks to Expand Engineering Team in 2012

Tweddle Group Technologies (TGT), a leading connected services platform provider to the automotive industry, announces new opportunities for Seattle-area developers and engineers as the company expands its solution that builds compelling connections between vehicle owners and their vehicles. TGT is a Tier One connected services partner to Toyota on the Entune(TM) application suite, with a cloud- and client-based solution that enables drivers to search local points of interest, make restaurant reservations, buy movie tickets, and access streaming radio, sports, weather, real-time traffic, stock quotes, and fuel prices all from within the automobile.

TGT comprises more than 100 engineers at its Bellevue facility and has grown its staff more than 300 percent in less than two years. TGT is home to deep client and cloud development expertise, with top talent from local companies like Microsoft, Amazon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and Real Networks. As TGT expands its services and deepens its relationships with auto manufacturers and content partners, the company looks to build its engineering team significantly in the coming months.

TGT growth can be attributed in large part to its status as a Tier One connected services provider to Toyota Motor Sales, powering the platform for the Entune application suite. TGT was integral in helping Toyota deliver the Entune system to new Toyota vehicles in record time while growing an impressive team of diverse engineering talent.

On the heels of the Entune launch, TGT worked with Toyota to launch its new Lexus-branded application suite, Lexus Enform(TM), a premium service offering that also includes Facebook and Yelp. Concurrently, the companies worked together to introduce the next version of Entune complete with Plug-in Hybrid applications, enabling drivers to remotely find their vehicle, manage the vehicle’s charge, and control vehicle climate.

TGT Integrates Technology from Seattle Area Companies TGT has worked in close collaboration with other Tier One partners DENSO and Harman Becker to integrate popular content into cars. TGT also partners with two Seattle-area companies, Kirkland-based INRIX®, a leading provider of traffic information and driver services, and Bellevue-based VoiceBox Technologies, a pioneer in natural language understanding and conversational voice technology.

“VoiceBox and TGT have worked together since the beginning of the Entune program to integrate voice-enabled applications into the car. Providing a voice interface is the best way to keep connected drivers safe and make the experience intuitive,” said Rich Kennewick, President of VoiceBox Technologies.”

“TGT is a hidden gem in the local technology community having an impact around the world,” said Kush Parikh, Senior Vice President of Business Development, INRIX. “Through our collaboration, customers like Toyota are leveraging INRIX’s traffic intelligence platform to improve the daily commute for millions of drivers.”

“We are extremely proud of what we’ve been able to build in such a short time,” said Paul Sciame, General Manager of TGT. “It is our mission to make the integration and ongoing support of connected owner solutions as seamless as possible with minimal disruption to the content provider, the automaker, and the driver. Our ultimate goals are to lower our customers’ total cost of ownership and enhance the relationship between drivers and automakers.”

TGT is actively recruiting highly qualified software engineers, Android and iPhone developers, program managers, and client-server development experts. For more information on open positions, please contact bellevuejobs@tweddle.com.
