U.S.-Based China Array Plastics Earns AS9100C Certification for Wuhan, China Operation

China Array Plastics, a leading injection molder of PEEK, TorlonĀ® polyamide-imide (PAI) and other ultra-polymers for the aerospace, automotive, healthcare and electronics industries, today announced that its injection molding facility in Wuhan, China received AS9100C (AS9100:2009, EN9100:2009 and JIS Q 9100:2009) certification. The certification from accredited audit firm Bureau Veritas (BV), is the quality management standard for the aviation, aerospace and defense industries. The respected firm has been a global leader in testing, inspection and certification (TIC) for over 180 years. China Arrayā€™s Wuhan facility has been ISO 9001:2008 certified since 2012.

“Being AS9100C certified underscores China Arrayā€™s commitment to best practices and unyielding dedication to our valued aerospace customers,” said Russell Johnson, president of China Array. ā€œIt sends a clear message to our customers that China Array is a reliable, long-term supplier and strengthens our competitive position as one of the few injection molders of ultra-performance polymers in China that can meet the industryā€™s high quality standards.ā€

“AS9100C certification provides greater discipline for our Wuhan facility. We thank our employees who have worked hard to help us achieve this in order to better serve our multinational customers,” said Li Qinren, general manager of China Array Wuhan. “AS9100C certification reinforces the need for flawless traceability, documentation, sampling and accuracy in everything we produce. Our employees take great pride in securing this critically important certification, which will allow us to further extend our services and partner with a greater number of aerospace manufacturers.ā€

AS9100C is an aerospace standard based on the ISO 9001 quality system with additional quality requirements established by the aerospace industry. The standard satisfies Department of Defense (DOD), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) quality requirements and establishes a single quality-management system for use by the aerospace industry to qualify its suppliers.
