Bright Ideas: Power Rear Window

2004 Toyota Tundra Double Cab Power Rear Window

Okay, so it’s not a new idea.

My friend’s dad had a 1964 Mercury Monterey with a power rear window and how can I forget our 1969 Ford station wagon with a power window that lowered into the tailgate.

But this is a novel idea for a pickup truck. The vertical power sliding window, available on Double Cab models only, measuring 750 square inches, rolls down the full width of the cab for easy access to things in the bed.

The open area is more than four times larger than the manual sliding rear window on the standard Tundra.

Add that to tinted rear windows that go all the way down and an optional moon roof that opens all the way and you and your passengers can enjoy some open air motoring.
