Code Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Audiovox Corporation (NASDAQ: VOXX) announced that it has secured contracts with Mazda North America Operations and Mazda Canada for the supply of Remote Start Systems.
For MAZDA NORTH AMERICA, the Remote Start feature is available on the US based 2006 Mazda 3, Mazda 5, Mazda 6, Mazda Tribute and all-new Mazda CX-7. The company began its initial supply of Remote Start with Mazda in late 2004 as a Dealer Installed accessory. In late 2005, the program was expanded to a port-installed program, offering Mazda dealers the opportunity to order the vehicle with this option installed prior to delivery to their dealership, which has significantly enhance sales. Remote Start coverage is also planned for all new Mazda vehicle models scheduled to launch in 2006 and 2007.
The Company also announced a new Remote Start dealer installed program for MAZDA Canada, which had a soft launch in August 2005 and is now in full swing with the 2006 model year. The vehicles include Mazda 3, Mazda 5, Mazda 6, Mazda Tribute and all new Mazda CX-7.

Designed specifically to interface with the Mazda vehicles, base system features allow the consumer to Remote Start the vehicle from up 800 feet away, which is confirmed via parking light signals. The vehicle will run for 10 minutes, cooling down or heating up the passenger compartment depending on vehicles preset or automatic temperature control. Some models include extended range Keyless Entry and Security features as well as Long Range Car Find; a feature that allows the consumer to ‘find’ their vehicle from a distance via a discrete series of key-fob activated horn chirps.

Code Systems currently has OE programs with the General Motors, Ford Motor Company, Daimler Chrysler, Mazda North American Operations, KIA Motors America and Subaru of American.
