BorgWarner received three supplier awards from Mahindra & Mahindra during the OEM’s annual supplier conference in Cape Town, South Africa. The awards recognize superior performance in quality, Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE), cost management and product development.

BorgWarner Thermal Systems received the Best VA/VE and Cost Management Award for introducing viscous fan drive technology to Mahindra & Mahindra, working with OEM engineers to develop improved systems for new applications, and successfully localizing production while maintaining superior quality. The facility supplies viscous fan drives and fans for the Scorpio and Bolero SUVs.
Mahindra & Mahindra also presented BorgWarner Morse TEC India, a joint venture, with its Best Quality Performance Award for quickly localizing production while maintaining less than 50 defects per million parts produced (PPM). BorgWarner Morse TEC India supplies engine timing system parts for the Scorpio, for which it won Mahindra & Mahindra’s Best Performance in Product Development Award last year.
Turbo Energy Ltd., also a joint venture, received an award for Best Product Development. The facility supplies turbochargers to various Mahindra & Mahindra vehicles including the Scorpio and Bolero.
