Conference and Speakers to Discuss Cutting Costs, Increasing Revenues and Succeeding in Doing Business in China's Complex and Growing Automotive Industry

GlobalAutoIndustry.com, a unique marketplace for intelligence and resources for the global auto industry, today announced its tenth conference on doing business in China. The Conference will take place in Troy, Michigan (USA) and will also be viewable via live webcast via the Internet around the world.

The full-day event, “Key Strategies for Succeeding in China’s Automotive Industry,” will take place at the MSU Management Education Center, Troy, Mich., where the webcast will originate.

As OEMs have transcended national borders, demands on suppliers have become equally global, creating steeper learning curves and driving the need for global perspective and shorter — and smarter — decision cycles.

On June 26 2008, GlobalAutoIndustry.com held its 100th event, and its first Conference to be broadcast live via the Internet. Since then, the India Conference on September 25, the Russia Conference on October 30, and the Mexico Conference on December 4 drew attendees from 20 countries, in addition to attendees from 12 different U.S. states.

This June 18, 2009 a powerful lineup of speakers will gather to address critical issues for auto suppliers doing business in China, still expected to be the world’s hottest automotive market for the next 20 years. China experts will discuss the advantages and cautions of joining China’s automotive industry, examining communication challenges in China, the reasons for being in China, the market outlook, sourcing and purchasing strategies, tax and legal challenges of setting up operations in China, lessons learned when doing business in China, the daunting government policy shaping the industry, as well as several auto industry case studies.

Presenters include representatives of BBK, Baker & McKenzie, Grant Thornton, Kelly Services, CEVA Logistics, and In Other Words. In addition, “Key Steps in Sourcing from China” will be presented by Chrysler’s former Supplier Program Integration Manager.

The conference will offer great opportunities to learn more about how to succeed in China’s business market whether you are setting up operations in mainland China, doing business there, or simply sourcing from China.

The complete agenda, speakers’ bios, and registration are available at www.GlobalAutoIndustry.com. The conference runs from 9:00AM to 4:00PM and includes networking, breakfast and lunch.

Cost to attend in Troy, MI is $595 per person. Cost to attend via webcast is $375 per person. Group and corporate discounts are also available.

GlobalAutoIndustry.com events have received “excellent” or “very good” ratings from 94 percent of more than 3,500 executives who have attended the events.
