Aeris® Communications, the only cellular carrier built exclusively for machines, today announced that it is providing network services to the automotive industry on the GSM network in North America, in addition to its long established position with CDMA technology.

The industry was seriously injured when the analog network was shut down and today it faces a similar risk. In addition to FIAT, Aeris is also providing services to Honda’s (AcuraLink) and Hyundai’s (BlueLink) connected vehicle programs.
