King of Prussia Mall and Chevrolet Announce Exclusive Marketing Alliance;

First-Ever ChevyShowcase Retail Store to Open at King of Prussia Mall

Philadelphia — The country’s largest shopping mall will soon begin displaying Chevrolet cars and trucks in a retail store environment previously reserved for fashionable clothing and home goods.

Kravco Simon Company, developer and manager of King of Prussia Mall, and General Motors’ Chevrolet division today announced a marketing alliance that will bring a unique retail concept –ChevyShowcase — to King of Prussia Mall. The ChevyShowcase store will feature five to six Chevrolet vehicles, from the best-selling Tahoe sport-utility vehicle to the 400-horsepower SSR sport roadster.

This unique concept will allow Chevrolet to showcase its vehicles to a broad audience of customers. Staffed by a team of Chevrolet specialists, ChevyShowcase will open in early November.

“The driving concept behind our ChevyShowcase retail store is to show consumers the wide variety of Chevrolet products designed to fit every lifestyle,” said Dave Klemm, Regional Marketing Manager for Chevrolet in the Northeast. “The partnership with King of Prussia Mall gives Chevrolet a premier marketing venue to attract new customers who might not know about our great new cars, trucks and SUVs. Our existing customers will get a chance to see the latest updates to their favorite vehicles.”

“King of Prussia Mall is one of the country’s most dynamic shopping destinations, offering marketers the opportunity to reach and influence millions of visitors each year,” said Clint Cochran, Vice President of Management Kravco Simon Company. “Our newly established alliance with Chevrolet, ‘An American Revolution,’ is revolutionary in and of itself, allowing an iconic American brand the opportunity to partner with a dominant shopping destination to utilize a non-traditional venue as the platform to execute exciting initiatives for its current and potential customers.”

The exclusive marketing alliance names Chevrolet “The Official Vehicle of King of Prussia Mall.” It joins two of the most recognized brands in their respective industries in the unique marketing alliance.

Other elements of the deal include vehicle displays positioned at key locations in the mall outside Philadelphia; Chevrolet-produced events throughout the year; strategic signage and promotional material throughout the mall; on-site test drive opportunities; and sponsorship of King of Prussia’s Santa and Easter Bunny displays.
