Ronn Motor Company has announced that the first phase of an H2GO(TM) system field trial has been successfully completed on large U-Haul moving trucks. U-Haul is North America’s largest do-it-yourself moving & storage operator with more than 100,000 moving trucks in their fleet.
Powered by a Ford V-10 gasoline engine, the truck supplied by U-Haul for the field trial has been driven at least 3 days per week for the past month under varying conditions. Ongoing data points have been collected, recorded and compared to previously recorded base data. With the H2GO(TM) system installed, the results indicate a mileage improvement and CO2 reduction consistently in the 18% to 20% range.
Ronn Motors COO, Damon Kuhn, commented, “Once again, an H2GO(TM) system field trial has provided predictable, measurable, and consistent results. In every field trial that has been completed, H2GO(TM) has proven that it is reliable, reduces fuel consumption, reduces noxious emissions that are harmful to the environment and contributes towards reducing ongoing operating costs.”
With a network of more than 15,950 locations in all 50 United States and 10 Canadian provinces, U-Haul serves more than 11 million do-it-yourself household moving customers annually and is committed to integrating responsible environmental practices into their daily operations. U-Haul’s environmental team is consistently exploring ways to reduce their impact on the environment. With H2GO(TM), U-Haul will have an immediate, sustainable, eco-friendly solution in their continuing pursuit of pollution reduction.
Mr. Kuhn added, “With the first phase of the field trial a proven success, the truck is being transferred to Corporate Headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. U-Haul will be conducting the final phase of the field trial to verify and validate the results. We anticipate a widespread deployment of H2GO(TM) systems within the U-Haul fleet, once the field trial is completed.”
