After only four months in business, Sage Automotive Interiors announced today that it has acquired an additional manufacturing facility in Abbeville, S.C.
The plant, previously owned by Milliken & Co., was slated to be closed in mid-2009, but will now become the fifth North American manufacturing facility for Sage. The addition will add approximately 70 associates while significantly increasing internal weaving capability for future growth.
“Sage is happy to announce that we have acquired a new facility,” said Brian McSharry, COO of Sage Automotive Interiors. “It is another step in demonstrating Sage’s commitment to manufacturing in the Upstate of S.C. and to the excellent employees that have served the automotive industry for the last 50 years.”
Sage will continue to provide its clientele with automotive body cloth under its Yes Essentials and FXC brands, as well as other branded products.
