Henkel Presents Innovative Sealing Methods for Fuel Cells and Battery Systems

Technical presentation at 2012 Battery Congress to demonstrate advances in sealing technology

At the 2012 Battery Congress, Henkel will discuss advances in sealing material for the containment of fluids or gases without leaks for the life of high voltage batteries and fuel cells. The topic will be presented at 11:30 a.m. on April 24th at the Michigan League, University of Michigan in Ann Arbor by Henkel technical expert, Al DeCato.

Additionally, the presentation will cover methods for evaluating energy performance requirements, and effective seal designs for demanding environments. “Materials and construction of battery designs are integral to the commercial success and longevity of battery systems for today’s alternative energy vehicles,” said Chuck Evans, senior vice president and general manager, NA automotive, Henkel. “Henkel is proud to present advancements in sealant technologies to help optimize automotive battery performance at the 2012 Battery Congress.”
