Technology is rapidly changing the way we work, the way we play, and the way we interact. With this in mind, the AT&T Foundry – along with Foundry sponsor Ericsson and Andrew Keen, author of Cult of the Amateur and Digital Vertigo – is hosting a series of salon-style discussions called FutureCasts.
Taking place in Palo Alto Foundry, they bring the brightest minds together in Silicon Valley to tackle the future of a wide array of technologies. Each event will include more than 30 leading experts – enterprise executives, startup founders, academics, journalists and public officials – on a technology topic. The goal: to vet, debate and ultimately spark ideas that will set the course for our collective technology future.
The first FutureCast on the topic of transportation featured among other representatives from leading transportation entities, including General Motors and the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency joined experts from the hosting companies. Hot transportation technology topics included: innovating a collision-proof future, the future role of automobiles, connected car technology, global transportation challenge and the environmental impact of transportation. Available material includes soundbites from the debate.
