Continuing to push the boundaries of traditional automotive auctions, RM Sotheby’s announces a destination auction in the heart of Miami Beach, Florida. An incredible selection of modern classics, limited to just 60 expertly curated automobiles, will cross the block at the famed 1111 Lincoln building, an “above-the-horizon” space overlooking Miami Beach and The Magic City on 10 December 2022.
Gord Duff, Global Head of Auctions, says, “RM Sotheby’s has been a leader in the high-end automotive market for over 40 years, and our results this year are a testament to that—but we never stop adapting, growing, and redefining what an auction can be. Our team continues to explore new spaces, concepts, and destinations to ensure that RM Sotheby’s is always innovating. The Miami sale will harmonize architectural and automotive design at an exclusive event in the heart of Miami Beach.”
Highlights (as of 9/12/22)
1990 Ferrari F40 – A fan favorite, one of the highlights of the sale is an extremely well-kept and original 1990 Ferrari F40. One of approximately 90 examples delivered to the United States in 1990, and 213 total examples specified for the US market. Originally owned by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. Minimally driven example, currently displaying just 2,736 miles at the time of cataloguing. Offered with Ferrari Classiche Red Book, toolkit, owner’s manuals, and three-piece Schedoni fitted luggage (Estimate: $3,000,000 – $3,500,000).
The Youngtimers Collection – For a growing demographic of collectors, many cars from this collection were the ones they admired in their youth. The low estimate of the collection is $3,775,000 USD.
