Alex Brisbourne, President, KORE Telematics Selected to Speak at CTIA WIRELESS 2007

KORE Telematics, North America’s largest independent provider of wireless GSM services for the machine to machine (M2M) market, today announced its president and chief operating officer, Alex Brisbourne, has been selected to speak at the upcoming CTIA WIRELESS 2007 show in Orlando on March 27, 2007 at 3:30PM.

The session entitled “Machine-to-Machine Case Studies,” within the Emerging Opportunities in Wireless Education track and moderated by Marcus Torchia, Senior Analyst for Yankee Group, will discuss how machine-to-machine (M2M) emerging wireless applications are poised to penetrate unconventional customer bases and expose new market opportunities for wireless business expansion. President and chief operating officer, Alex Brisbourne, will be joined by other wireless eco-system executives to provide in-depth insight on the prospects for M2M mobile in the next 12 to 24 months.

“Wireless is having a global impact on every industry imaginable, making CTIA WIRELESS 2007 the premiere venue for any business operating in today’s mobile environment,” said Robert Mesirow, vice president and show director of CTIA WIRELESS. “Our educational program spans the gamut of business and technology issues facing the wireless industry today, and features contributions and presentations by the foremost experts working in wireless,” added Mark Desautels, vice president and show educational program director of CTIA WIRELESS.

“As a MVNO solely focused on the M2M sector, KORE Telematics is witnessing how wireless data adoption and growth is real today, right in our own backyards through the use of machine-to-machine communications,” said Alex Brisbourne, president and chief operating officer for KORE Telematics.

According to Harbor Research, M2M market revenue will top $290 billion by 2011, a 580 percent increase from this year. In addition, Harbor predicts 100 million to 160 million M2M connections could be using wireless mobile networks by 2007.

“Emerging wireless applications are used in numerous ways to help enterprises become more productive, reduce costs and meet regulatory requirements. From vehicle location to utility metering, payment processing, landfill monitoring, asset management, offender tracking and more – wireless data is positively affecting the American public in ways they may not be aware of first hand,” added Brisbourne.

In the session, Brisbourne will explore how enterprises are increasingly turning to wireless to increase productivity and leverage real-time data collection to decrease operational costs – and show how your organization could be involved in the M2M value chain. He will also review scenarios in the marketplace today that are using wireless M2M to their operational advantage and ROI.
