FLIR Systems (NASDAQ: FLIR) announced the release of theall-new PathFindIR II thermal night vision system. Using FLIR’s latest nighttimevideo analytics algorithms, PathFindIR II provides automated detection andalerts of pedestrians and animals, so drivers can see hazards sooner, reactfaster, and stay safer on the road at night.   PathFindIR II’sthermal night vision lets drivers see pedestrians, cyclists, animals, and otherroad hazards at night from up to four times farther away than with just thevehicle’s headlights.

 

Building on the success of the original PathFindIR, andmade in cooperation with technology partner Autoliv, the PathFindIR II adds aunique nighttime pedestrian detection feature that can be configured toautomatically display alarms that alert drivers when the system detects aperson nearing or crossing the vehicle’s path.

• Mining – PathFindIR II sees through dark and dust sohaul trucks and shovel and scoop vehicles can operate safely and efficientlywithout endangering people walking near mining vehicles.
