Continental Structural Plastics (CSP) announced today it has signed an agreement to lease manufacturing floor space in Pouance, France. Additionally, CSP will purchase equipment from a composites manufacturer that was formerly located in the facility CSP will lease. The agreement helps boost CSP’s existing global manufacturing and customer support capabilities.
“The Pouance acquisition improves CSP’s ability to provide our customers with exceptional global support in terms of manufacturing and service,” said Frank Macher, chairman and CEO of CSP. “This operation expands our global network, increases CSP’s manufacturing capacity and provides us with the opportunity to expand our customer base in Europe in the near future.”
The facility includes approximately 120,000 square-feet (11,000 square-meters) of floor space, six compression molding presses, 12 thermoplastic injection presses and supporting equipment. Staffing of the facility has started and production is expected to begin later this year.
