Wolf, trademark of Wolf Oil Corporation, one of Europe’s leading independent lubricants companies, announces its newest addition to the passenger car motor oil portfolio. The OFFICIALTECH 0W20 LL FE motor oil is the first-to-market mandatory for the new 2.0 TFSI 140 kW and 3.0 TDI CR 160 kW Volkswagen engines. This new oil enables franchised workshops and dealerships to provide customers with an ultra low viscosity oil designed specifically for these VAG Group engines.
Engines with the VW 508 00 / 509 00 specification are built to use the latest technology oils. Wolf is among the first to launch an engine oil that meets this specification. Wolf OFFICIALTECH 0W20 LL FE motor oil is a fully synthetic lubricant, developed to prolong the engine life and maintain the efficiency of its emission system.
The ultra low viscosity significantly reduces wear, ensures lower CO2 emissions and delivers substantial fuel saving – a four percent fuel economy improvement of up to 0,12L/100km in comparison to a standard 5W30. OFFICIALTECH 0W20 LL FE allows Volkswagen Group vehicles 30.000 kilometers or two years of driving before oil change is necessary.
The oil provides outstanding engine cleanliness, excellent wear protection over the full oil drain interval, and strong durability to keep the Volkswagen and Audi engines from 2015 onwards running like new.
“The newest VW and Audi engines with the 508 00 / 509 00 specification require a new, high technology oil. Introducing the Wolf OFFICIALTECH 0W20 LL FE, we’re meeting this demand”, says Inès El Majid, Technical & Product Manager at Wolf Oil Corporation. “Today’s engines are becoming increasingly powerful and sophisticated, putting a strain on lubricants’ longevity and lifespan. At Wolf, we develop lubricants that deliver more fuel economy without compromising on mobility. This low viscosity VW lubricant demonstrates this perfectly.”
Wolf OFFICIALTECH 0W20 LL FE will be available by the end of July 2016. Note: The OFFICIALTECH 0W20 LL FE can only be used with engines with VW 508 00 / 509 00 specification and is not backward compatible with older vehicle engines.
