CellastoR awarded Supplier Quality Excellence from General Motors in North America

Excellent delivery, quality and service performance led to second consecutive recognition

BASF’s Cellasto business unit was recently presented with the 2014 Supplier Quality Excellence Award from General Motors North America. This is the second consecutive year Cellasto has been recognized with this prestigious award.

 

Suppliers are granted this award based on demonstration of top-tier performance and achievements in 13 categories, including delivery, quality and service.

 

“Recognition of outstanding supplier quality from General Motors reflects our dedication and commitment to our customers,” said Jim Miller, Quality Manager North America, Global Business Management Cellasto “With this award, GM is honoring Cellasto’s exceptional mechanical properties, durability and overall high-performance, and also the team’s expertise and emphasis on collaboration.”

 

The partnership between the Cellasto team and GM in North America began in 1987, when BASF’s Wyandotte, Mich. site first started producing parts for GM.

Cellasto, a microcellular polyurethane elastomer, is the customized solution for damping and reducing Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) level in vehicles. Cellasto components are sold to the automotive industry as jounce bumpers, top mounts and coil spring isolators as an energy absorbing solution.
