Electric Powertrains the Subject of SAE International Symposium in Stuttgart, Germany

SAE International will hold the “2012 Electric Powertrain Technologies Symposium – The Topologies Debate Continues,” on Oct. 11, 2012, at LeMeridien Stuttgart in Stuttgart, Germany.

This event puts great emphasis on the electric motor, and will provide a comprehensive overview on the latest global innovations for electric vehicle powertrains. In addition, it will give insight on how fast the major players are moving and how this affects the world marketplace.

The main focus of the symposium will be to discuss various electric motors topologies and have a panel discussion of their pros and cons. It will feature presentations that will continue the discussion on “Metals in Motors,” by several experts in the field of rare earth metals who will discuss the current and future state of this industry. This event expands on its original concept and includes other components of an electric powertrain, such as DC-DC converters.
