Fluensee Acquires Transportation Execution Software Provider Mobitrac

RFID-enabled asset management provider, Fluensee, Inc., recently announced it has acquired privately held Mobitrac, the market-leading provider of next-generation Transportation Execution Systems (TES).

The acquisition combines the existing Fluensee team with a group of professionals that have used radio frequency identification (RFID) and global positioning system (GPS) technology to redefine the state of transportation execution systems. The addition of Mobitrac’s transportation execution software to Fluensee’s suite of RFID-enabled asset tracking and supply chain management solutions will result in immediate added value for its existing and new customers.

“The Mobitrac acquisition accelerates our vision to provide a complete and integrated suite of RFID-enabled supply chain solutions,” said Tim Harvie, president and chief executive officer of Fluensee, Inc. “Our commitment to the continued expansion of products and high-quality service is allowing Fluensee to become our customers’ trusted advisor in the adoption of RFID for asset and inventory management.”

The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Fluensee will integrate Mobitrac’s transportation execution system into its supply chain suite. Mobitrac’s transportation solution includes Order Management, Optimization and Planning, Dynamic Routing and Dispatch, Adaptive Execution and Business Intelligence modules that further enhance plan optimization and provide fleets with the ability to profitably adapt to real-world changes during the execution phase of operations.

Fluensee’s suite of RFID-enabled solutions includes: Fluensee AssetTrack(TM), a comprehensive solution for tracking and managing physical assets and inventory; Fluensee Yard(TM) and Dock(TM) which are specifically designed to effectively manage transportation and distribution environments; and Fluensee DataCenter(TM) which was developed to better track assets in data centers and IT facilities.
The company’s end-to-end asset management software is highly configurable, flexible and is easily integrated with best-of-breed RFID, GPS and sensor technologies.
