Autopromotec 2013: Continued international promotion is set to add value for UK visitors

Autopromotec, the most specialised international trade fair for automotive equipment and aftermarket products (Bologna, Italy, 22-26 May 2013), is pursuing an active global promotional programme that promises to further increase the show’s interest for UK buyers and suppliers looking to expand their businesses.

Initiatives undertaken by Autopromotec’s organisers have included meetings with the trade press, industry associations and operators in a number of EU countries and beyond that are strategically important to the automotive industry.

Press conferences have already been held in Paris, Stockholm, Madrid and Istanbul, with the aim of boosting awareness of Autopromotec in countries where key relationships with the trade press and local industry associations are already in place.

In addition, having been acknowledged by Bologna’s regional body Emilia Romagna Unioncamere as an exhibition meriting international promotion, Autopromotec’s organisers have been working through the Enterprise Europe Network to coordinate a number of professional visitor delegations to the show from Russia, Poland, Ukraine, Japan and South Korea.

The show’s agreement with ICE – Foreign Trade Institute – has also recently been renewed, leading to the arrangement of further delegations of buyers, journalists and global aftermarket associations from countries including Lebanon, Mexico, United States, Iran, South Africa, Indonesia, Vietnam and South Korea. Further delegations have also been organised by Autopromotec consultants operating in Argentina, Brazil and Turkey.

All three promotional strands are expected to generate additional exhibitor and visitor presence at Autopromotec, adding value to the show’s existing showcase of Italian and EU aftermarket excellence, and increasing international trading opportunities for buyers and suppliers attending from the UK.

Autopromotec is a key meeting point for aftermarket operators, with a strong, and growing, international character that sets it apart from other exhibitions. Based on current indicators, the show is forecasting an exceptional 35% increase in the number of foreign exhibitors who will attend in 2013. Organisers are also forecasting record international visitor numbers compared with previous years. In addition a new internet platform is set to be launched soon, designed to facilitate professional meetings between delegations and exhibitors.
