Jungo Connectivity, a divestiture of Cisco Systems today announced that it has been named a CES 2017 Innovation Awards Honoree for its innovative Driver Monitoring Software – CoDriver. Products entered in this prestigious program are judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, independent engineers and members of the trade media to honor outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge consumer electronics products across 28 product categories.
Jungo CoDriver was named CES 2017 Innovation Awards Honoree in the Vehicle Intelligence category, alongside other innovative products such as NVIDIA Drive PX 2, Quanergy Systems S3 Solid State LiDAR sensor, and Bosch Integrated Connectivity Cluster.
CoDriver introduces a new breed of in-cabin monitoring systems. It is based on state-of-the-art deep learning, machine learning and computer vision algorithms, that work together in harmony to provide the car with relevant and accurate information about the driver and occupants’ behavior.
Through the valuable information that CoDriver generates about the driver, car makers can now create safer cars and reduce accidents. Using CoDriver, cars can now know whether or not the driver is alert and paying attention to the road, and can tell if the driver is ready to take control of a vehicle in a semi-autonomous scenario. In a fully-autonomous experience, the car can get valuable information about the passengers and their overall condition while in the vehicle.
“We were humbled to hear the news that CoDriver was selected as a CES 2017 Innovation Awards Honoree in the Vehicle Intelligence category,” said Ophir Herbst, CEO and Founder of Jungo Connectivity. “This truly reflects the innovation and execution that Jungo brings with its products, the excellence of our team as well as the support from Jungo partners and customers worldwide.”
The prestigious CES Innovation Awards are sponsored by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)TM, the producer of CES 2017, the global gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies, and have been recognizing achievements in product design and engineering since 1976.
Entries are evaluated on their engineering, aesthetic and design qualities, intended use/function and user value, unique/novel features present and how the design and innovation of the product directly compares to other products in the marketplace.
Products chosen as CES Innovation Honorees reflect innovative design and engineering in some of the most cutting edge tech products and services coming to market.
