General Motors Names Compuware as Supplier of the Year for Third Consecutive Year

Honor Salutes Compuware People and Software for Contributions to GM's Business Performance

Compuware Corporation has announced that it has earned the General Motors 2009 Supplier of the Year award. In delivering the people, processes and software that drive business performance for GM, Compuware finished at the top of a who’s who list of technology companies for the third consecutive year.

“Organizations like General Motors expect the investments they make in technology to result in superior customer experiences that increase revenue, enhance competitive position and strengthen brand,” said Compuware Chairman and CEO Peter Karmanos, Jr. “Compuware people, software and best practices arm GM to achieve these technology performance goals, and we will continue to do everything we can to equip GM and our other customers for success.”

The GM Supplier of the Year award began as a global program in 1992. Winners are selected by a global team of executives from purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and logistics who base their decision on supplier performance in quality, service, technology and price.

“The Supplier of the Year award is always special but those suppliers recognized this year have risen above and beyond the call during one of the most challenging years in GM history,” said Bob Socia, vice president, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. “Compuware is among this truly world-class list of suppliers.”
