Luvata announces plans for Florida facility to provide HVAC&R coil corrosion coating services

Facility meets growing demand for corrosion proofing

Luvata ElectroFin, Inc. has announced plans to open a facility in Florida to meet the growing demand for HVAC&R coil protection against corrosive environments. The facility, scheduled to begin operations in the first quarter of 2010, will offer INSITU® a spray applied, permanent, water-based, synthetic coating developed by Luvata ElectroFin specifically for the protection of heat exchange units.

Luvata ElectroFin will provide spray-applied capacity at the new location as well as customer on-site applications, INSITU® broadens and complements Luvata’s plant applied e-coat product ElectroFin®. ElectroFin® is recognized internationally by the HVAC&R industry as the leading corrosion-resistant coil coating and is the number one choice by OEMs for corrosion protection.

“The coil corrosion protection offered by Luvata retains the operating efficiency of the unit longer while reducing maintenance, replacement and operating costs. This ultimately extends the length of service of HVAC&R systems. With the opening of our Florida facility, Luvata brings this solution a little closer to customers who recognize the benefit of INSITU®,” indicates Ralph Rice, General Manager with Luvata ElectroFin.

This new Florida location will serve customers in the Southeast USA and joins Luvata’s other three ElectroFin locations in Louisville, Kentucky; Jacksonville, Texas; and Temecula, California in offering spray applied coil corrosion protection. Together these four facilities reinforce Luvata ElectroFin’s dominant position as a leading supplier of HVAC&R coil corrosion coating services.

Luvata is the leading international metals supplier of solutions, services, components and materials for manufacturing and construction. Luvata’s solutions are used in industries such as renewable energy, power generation, architecture, automotive, transport, medicine, air-conditioning, industrial refrigeration, consumer products and construction.
