Poland’s EC Engineering Chooses the Altair(R) HyperWorks(R) Engineering Framework for Product Design

High-performance, easy-to-use pre- and post-processing HyperMesh(R) FEA software reduces modeling time.

Altair Engineering, Inc., a leading global provider of technology and services that strengthen client innovation and decision-making, have announced that EC Engineering, an engineering services group headquartered in Krakow, Poland, that serves all three major transportation industries, has chosen Altair(R) HyperMesh(R) as its preferred finite-element analysis (FEA) software. HyperMesh is one of a number of advanced engineering solutions in the Altair HyperWorks(R) suite.

HyperMesh is a high-performance, easy-to-use finite element pre- and post- processor that allows engineers to analyze product design performance in a highly interactive and visual environment. It also significantly reduces modeling time, and, in doing so, reduces time to market for new products. Right now, EC Engineering will use the software primarily in projects related to the aerospace industry. However, the company has plans to extend the use of the tool to projects in other industries.

“One of our engineers introduced HyperMesh to our company and I am very satisfied with its performance,” said Ireneusz Luczak, general manager of EC Engineering. “It is significantly faster, easier to use and more efficient than the tool we had been using. I expect to realize additional advantages from using the software as our team becomes more familiar with it. We will continue to broaden our use of HyperMesh and the rest of the HyperWorks suite as we leverage this advanced CAE technology to benefit our customers in future EC Engineering projects.”

“We are very pleased to see products of the HyperWorks suite used by well- known engineering companies such as EC Engineering,” said Dr. Detlef Schneider, managing director of Altair Germany, GmbH. “In Poland and Eastern Europe they are one of the premier companies in providing superior engineering services. To do that, their customers expect them to work with best-in-class software products such as the HyperWorks suite. We look forward to supporting EC Engineering as they continue to expand the use of HyperWorks into all the industries they serve.”

EC Engineering is a member of Energocontrol group, a high-tech engineering group that provides mechanical engineering (EC Engineering), software development (EC Systems), and the manufacturing and development of real-time systems for monitoring, control and diagnostics (EC Electronics). EC Engineering provides ISO 9001 certified services, which include mechanical systems design, durability prediction, finite-element modeling, and simulation for all three major transportation industries.

Altair Engineering, Inc. strengthens client innovation and decision-making through technology that optimizes the analysis, management and visualization of business and engineering information. Privately held with more than 800 employees, Altair has offices throughout North America, Europe and Asia/Pacific. With a 20-year-plus track record for product design, advanced engineering software and grid computing technologies, Altair consistently delivers a competitive advantage to customers in a broad range of industries
